During a weekend retreat to the country to witness a total solar eclipse, my girlfriend and I made hats to document the experience. A pink parasisal hood was blocked on an oversized, hand-carved block, then sculpted into this cute little cross between a pillbox and a turban. Fabric-covered stamen add drama and movement to this blossom.
