I learned this unique technique from master milliner Jenny Pfanenstiel while studying in the South of France. The petals of this giant poppy have the appearance of stained glass. Feathers and beads create the flower's center. This technique works equally well when creating smaller flowers that can be used on their own or to adorn other hats.
