A mistral is cold, dry, fierce wind that blows down from the north through the South of France toward the Mediterranean Sea. This free-form hat was inspired by that incredible wind while I was studying millinery in the South of France. Two layers of watermelon and pale lemon-lime sinamay straw appear to be windswept into this dramatic sculptural turban.
