The hat is the brim, is the veil. A buckram crown is covered with watermelon Dupioni silk, gathered into a rosebud texture and edged in black velvet. The brim is constructed of orbiting millinery wire, covered in veiling attached with tiny handmade black flowers. The hat is secured to the head with a wire and elastic headband.
